I have to say, New England in the winter is beautiful! Which is why it isn't necessary to wait until the spring or summer to have your engagement session. Winter engagement sessions can be a lot of fun and result in some gorgeous photos. What's better than snuggling up with your fiance to keep warm on cold day?
Happy 2018 everyone! Is it just me, or did 2017 FLY by?! It was a whirlwind of a year filled with lots of travel, tons of weddings (not just shooting them, I got to be a bridesmaid twice!), and lots of changes.
There is something really special about photographing two people you know. Whether they're good friends, old friends, new friends, friends from a different part of your life, or in this case, past coworkers and friends, these sessions always mean so much to me!
"When I met Marc and Ana for the first time to chat about their wedding photography, I could see how excited they were to be getting married. Marc definitely has a knack for making Ana laugh, and I believe being able to laugh together is one of the most important aspects of a strong relationship. I was so happy when they asked me to photograph their big day"
I know everyone's been hating on 2016, but I can't lie... this year was good to me! It didn't really hit me how much I had done until I went to make this blog post. I photographed a lot of amazing people in 2016 and had so much fun doing it!
Some of my favorite proposal stories are the simple ones. The ones that take place in an unexpected moment, a moment where he just has to ask her right here, right now. That's how Joey asked Heather to marry him and it is the sweetest story.
Craig describes his bride to be as loving, strong, and devoted. Kara describes her groom as caring, sensitive, and determined. Craig proposed to Kara on the Boston Pier. She was in complete disbelief and he said it felt like an eternity before she said yes! But she finally did and now they are getting married!!
When I first met Jen and Jim for their engagement session, they were exactly as I pictured them. Fun loving, constantly laughing with one another, finishing each others sentences, and just so happily in love! Their energy is contagious and I absolutely loved working with them.
I think my favorite thing about the boho look is that it's so versatile. You could be in the middle of the woods, in a big field, or walking down the city street and it would still work for your session.
